Fear

Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous or a threat.

The battle of GOOD vs. EVIL is real in our day to day lives. Whether you are a follower of Christ or just someone trying to bring more positivity into this world, there always seems to be an enemy. Sometimes that negativity can lead to fear. As Christians, we believe the devil is the chief adversary seeking to destroy positivity and all pursuit of righteousness. In the midst of tough times, we can find peace, comfort, and rest in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Psalms 27: 1-4 says:

1. The Lord is my light and my salvation—

whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life—

of whom shall I be afraid?

2. When the wicked advance against me

to devour me,

it is my enemies and my foes

who will stumble and fall.

3. Though an army besieges me,

my heart will not fear;

though war break out against me,

even then I will be confident.

4. One thing I ask from the Lord,

this only do I seek:

that I may dwell in the house of the Lord

all the days of my life.

The Psalmist repeatedly assures his readers of the safety, comfort, and confidence we can have in a relationship with God. He also reminds us a relationship with Christ has eternal value. A personal relationship with God is for the HERE, but also the HERE-AFTER. Scripture tells us that Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us so that one day we can live with him forever in heaven. (John 14:3)

Do not let FEAR keep you from accomplishing your goals. Seek the will of God through a personal relationship with him and he will give you the confidence to face your fears!
